Need to have Legislative Assemblies and Parliament Election Simultaneously

 

Any party getting people's mandate in Lok sabha election, will like to implement the policies as per their manifesto. But, if they do not have majority in Rajya Sabha, then they are helpless.

 

What is happening in Rajya Sabha currently is very sad. On frivolous issues, the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha is stalled and adjourned. As a result, mandate of people to particular party is of no use!!!

 

Also, what happened in Gujarat assembly for electing representative is very sad. Ruling party, to overcome their minority in Rajya Sabha adopted tactics , which are ethically questionable. Also, equally deplorable is the tactics adopted by parties to keep their members aligned with party's directions.

 

If the elections of Loksabha and state assemblies are held together, then chances of ruling party having majority in both the houses are quite high and then they can implement the policies,  they promised and the kind of mockery of people's mandate what we see in Rajya Sabha can be effectively checked.
